ALROSA sells $7.9 mln large diamonds at auction in New York

MOSCOW, Oct 12 (PRIME) -- Russian diamond mining giant ALROSA has sold more than 1,300 carats of diamonds with a mass of more than 10.8 carats each for U.S. $7.9 million at an auction in New York, the company said in a statement on Friday.

The key lots were a 98-carat crystal-clear diamond with a yellow tint and a 108-carat diamond. About 40 companies from the U.S., India, Israel, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, and other states took part in the auction.
